Have a little grudge match set up with a 1974 Datsun Z
Friend from work vintage races it.

Anyone want to come see me break my car?

My friend Jason has been wanting to take his car to the track for the first time, maybe this will be the day, we can break his too.

We bought the shell in mississippi, clean NO RUST!
Got a motor, rebuilt the head.
Got an evo3 16g ported/clipped 34mm flapper, evo3 o2
RC 550s, 255hp pump, 2gmas, and eprom tuned for them all.
supra sidemount, and custom piping and exhaust.

Got just under $3k into everything including the car, maybe get a high 12 'shrug'

Staging lanes were crowded as hell, and everyone kept breaking shit. I got 3 runs in, one of which I popped off an injector clip during the launch, the second pass I dropped the clutch at 4500 (overwhelmed the slicks) and went a 13.1 @ 113.8. My final pass, I eased out of the hole around 3500rpm, got the hell out of 1st gear, and rowed gears to a 12.675 @ 114.1mph with a 2.125 60’. This was all done with a full interior, 93 octane, water injection, and 22psi.
Now its time to replace the original 1.5L suspension…

Yeah, Jason Lemke made a few 30psi runs trying to figure shit out, and Nate with the turbo integra went a new best of 13.3.
I was surrounded by domestics all over the place.
