Hey, I just did the tie-rod and ball joint for the right front side of my car. My question is after doing that the alignment is fucked up....could I get the alignment done now even though I'll be replacing the tie-rod and ball joint on the drivers side in the next week or so.

Yes you could get it down now, but will be doing it again next week..

Unless you mark where everything is and do it carefully you might be able to get away with it.

My question to others, my 2g needs an alignment, where is a good place around here that is high tech and cheep and good.
? arnie? chad?

I'm going to assume that you're talking about the tie rod END and not the tie rod itself. That would be pretty insane to do one tie rod at a time, particularly a week apart.

Yes, you could do the alignment. Next time you replace the tie rod end, count the number of turns to get it off, mark it, whatever you prefer to ensure that your alignment doesn't go completely wonky.

Scrounge up some extra cash and then do the other side before the alignment would be my suggestion.

I generally get alignments done at Fleet Farm. I think regular price is $40. Catch a sale and it's $30, for all four. I have yet to see a cheaper price. They mount and balance tires fairly cheap, too.

Around there you probably have Farm and Fleets. Dunno if they have an automotive shop like here.

I would say Farm and fleet is the place to go
+ you can smell the new tires!

JC Mufflers on Forest Home and like 68th'ish.

That's one of the few places I will ever let touch my cars.

Real good service and prices.

They did mine fine with H&R's and HKS's, although I had to put the stock exhaust back on because they couldn't fit the car up the ramp with the 3".

I asked them about doing a rear wheel bearing one time. "No one here has ever done a rear wheel bearing on an AWD DSM, so the manager says we're not going to attempt it." The only thing better is when I asked an Eagle dealer service guy about having something fixed and he said, "We don't really like to work on those cars."
