Just to be sure I am clear what you are asking about:
You want threads in the event section of the forum to be deleted once the event is past?

That is not common practice. When the date passes the thread dies and falls down off the front page.

I do certainly agree that dates should be included in event post titles.

i second what pnad said, just let them drop off the page, and i think they should include the date in title

+2 or whatever, sometimes our event threads will contain picture links and things of that nature, that shouldnt be lost...i think i was just in the mod 06 thread last week

As long as they have a date I think they should remain open.

I usually just pm a mod n ask them to delete/close it when its had its round of widsm fun, maybe we need a feature where the thread starter can delete the thread? just a suggestion
