smoke problem

well when i go the car it was smoking blue and white smoke. blown head gasket and bad rings. after changing it all I got the turbo check out and it's fine. now the white smoke is gone and there is only blue smoke. at idle it's not that much but when you gas it it's like a puff of smoke comes out. did a compression test and it was 145 across the board. what else could be causing the smoke. it's a 92 talon awd turbo. thanks

Hmm who checked out the turbo? Sure? Take Arnie's word for it if it's not the turbo.

i got it check out at turbochargers.com . well I check out the pvc vavle and it still works. is there any possible way to check if the vavle stems are bad.

Got to take the head off. I'm not sure if a leakdown test will tell you.

I agree on all three parts.

What turbo is it? How many miles, and how high have you boosted it? Check for shaft play.

Evo III turbo. No shaft play and there probably about 3000 miles on the turbo. the boost controller is set at 14 psi. I think i'm gonna have to take off the head and to get it checked out somewhere. any body know a place in green bay to get your head check.

Just curious, how many miles have you put on it after you changed the HG and whatnot? It could just be residue from the previous problems?

Otherwise, I'm still sticking with a blown turbo oil seal.

well took my head in to baril. got quoted at 537 dollars. one bent vavle. said my vavle stems were as hard as rock. and my head is warp about a good 400 off. so as of right now i think the quote is just a little bit to high. 500 bucks for bad vavle steams, 1 vavle and a warp head. does anyone know where I could get it done for cheaper. because i mean 500 bucks that almost the same as me buying a upgraded head. any suggestions. thanks also if anyone has a rebuild head they wanna sell me hit me up.

Tru eastside 92 tsi awd. bought the head from Arnie TPW install everything the next day. head leaks from the vavle stems. took of the manifold and started up the car. could clearly see the oil drip/gush down from the vavle stems from cylinder 2 and 3.

BTW, you sure you didn't install the headgasket backwards/upsidedown? Not that it matters, but WTF is the oil coming from then?
